Kerrie Byrne was born in South Texas and left her small hometown at just 17 years old, beginning what would become a lifelong journey in natural health and wellness. Her path started with Whole Foods and evolved into decades of work as a passionate advocate and educator for herbal and nutritional healing. Over the years, as a Certified Master Herbalist, she worked with respected companies including Gaia Herbs and Himalaya Herbal Healthcare, supporting thousands of people across the United States while based in Dallas and then Baltimore. Alongside her career, Kerrie also raised a son with the hope of teaching him how to remain kind in a world that is not always kind in return. Like many young parents, she and her son’s father were still growing and learning themselves, discovering with time that they were not meant to walk life side by side forever. Still, through every challenge, Kerrie remained committed, as a single parent, to raising a compassionate, thoughtful human being; a man now, whom she is incredibly proud of. Kerrie later stepped away from her career to lovingly care for her late wife, Mo, throughout her battle with ovarian cancer. That chapter profoundly shaped her understanding of healing, grief, resilience, and the limits of medicine. Through her own healing journey, she unexpectedly met Kylee, and through what can only be described as divine timing and a little magik, the two built a new life together in Vernon, BC. Lived experience has taught Kerrie that not every life can be saved, no matter how fiercely we love or fight. Yet she remains deeply rooted in the belief that supporting the body naturally and addressing illness at its source offers a gentler, more sustainable path to wellness than simply masking symptoms. As her mentor once shared “Herbs do not heal the body, they only remind the body how to heal itself.” Holding this truth, she provides support for healing and balanced wellness no matter where you are in life. Kerrie humbly serves others by meeting them exactly where they are. Her approach is compassionate, practical, and deeply human, focusing on small, achievable changes that create lasting success and a healthier, more balanced life. She loves living in Vernon, and spends her leisure time enjoying delicious foods, reading, hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, sunning, gardening and walking her dogs in nature with Kylee.

Kylee’s story begins with what she jokingly calls being born with a “rock head,” a stubborn resilience that would carry her through adversity from a very young age. A natural-born healer, she was drawn early toward caring for others, both personally and professionally. Straight out of high school, she was offered a position in long-term care, where she developed the caregiving, compassion, and life-transition skills that would shape the rest of her life’s path.

Raised in a small, conservative Saskatchewan town, Kylee experienced profound loss early on when she was disowned by her family after coming out at 19. Despite this, she chose to live authentically and unapologetically, spending the next decade building a life alongside her first wife and caring for her through illness until their paths eventually grew irreparably apart.

Long before alternative healing became widely recognized, Kylee followed her intuition into energy work, becoming a Reiki Master over 23 years ago. Her philosophy is deeply rooted in the belief that the body is designed to heal itself when supported by nature, nourishment, rest, and connection. She believes medical and pharmaceutical interventions can play an important role in symptom management, but that true healing begins when the root cause is compassionately explored and addressed. Before relocating to Vernon, BC, Kylee lived on and stewarded a self-sustainable herb farm in Saskatchewan called Hayland Grove Farmacy & Retreat. There, she cultivated medicinal plants, community, and safe spaces for healing. She also donated and stewarded the land where Saskatchewan’s first inclusive women’s festival was held, helping create a place where people could gather in authenticity, acceptance, and connection.

Through profound personal loss, Kylee has come to understand that not everything can be healed, fixed, or saved. Much of who she is today was forged through her own healing journey following the passing of her spouse, Mallory, whom she lovingly cared for through years of debilitating illness. In the wake of that grief, her life’s purpose became crystal clear: to help people live better, die better, and feel less alone somewhere in between.

Today, Kylee’s work blends lived experience, spirituality, and holistic care. She is certified as a Death Doula, Grief and Bereavement Support Worker, Reiki Master, Sylvotherapist, Nutrition Coach, Sound Healing Facilitator, Sacred Cacao Ceremonialist, and 9D Breathwork Facilitator. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and deeply soul-centered.

Kylee believes we are all walking soul journeys, and that the people we encounter are often divinely placed along our path. She believes the deepest soul connections are not always bound by blood, but by love, growth, and shared transformation. She also believes that she and Kerrie were brought together by Mo and Mallory, so that both of them could experience love, support and to live again after believing that their dreams of a happy life had ended forever.

Now rooted in Vernon, Kylee finds joy in the simple medicine of everyday life: reading in the sunshine, gardening, hiking forest trails, paddleboarding quiet waters, kayaking, and walking her dogs in nature alongside Kerrie.
